Japan’s youth sports environment is undergoing major shifts—regionalization of school sports, declining birthrates, and increasing disparities in children’s participation. As someone who grew up fully immersed in sports, I feel a strong responsibility to help ensure a positive future for the next generation.
Many private sports schools share this concern and continue working hard to provide children with opportunities to enjoy movement and develop a lasting connection to sport.
Beginning January 2026, I am pleased to support junior tennis development with Rec Kouhatsu Co., Ltd., a leading operator of indoor tennis schools in the Tokyo metropolitan area and the organization behind Team Rec. We share a common commitment to strengthening the foundation of youth sports, especially as school sports undergo structural change.
